Wondering

about something?

What if I'm not sure we're ready?

That’s exactly what the free 15-minute discovery call is for. We can talk about what’s going on, answer your questions, and see whether working together feels like a good fit.

When should I start working on sleep with my baby?
Whenever you’re ready!

While newborn "sleep shaping" can start right away, we generally wait until 3 months of age to introduce formal sleep training methods, provided your baby is healthy, gaining weight, and approved by their pediatrician. For many families, 12 to 16 weeks proves to be an ideal window.

The best timing also depends on your lifestyle. Preparing for a return to work, managing a busy household with other children, or pausing around upcoming travel are all great factors to weigh.

Ultimately, it's never too late to teach your child better sleep habits. Whenever you decide the time is right, we are here to support you every step of the way!

Will I have to let my child "cry it out" all night?

Many parents feel nervous about the idea of "Cry It Out" until morning—and rightly so! It doesn't feel good to hear your child cry without comforting them. In reality, "Cry It Out" (or full extinction) is just one of many approaches, and we rarely suggest it unless a family specifically asks for it. Instead, we work with methods that fit your unique parenting style and values, allowing you to be as hands-on or as hands-off as you feel comfortable with.

That said, any time you change a child's routine, it’s completely normal to expect a little bit of protest. Kids love predictability, and shaking things up can cause some initial resistance. While change can bring a bit of temporary discomfort, teaching the lifelong gift of independent sleep is well worth the effort.

Why work with a sleep consultant?
If what you’ve been doing isn't working anymore but you're not sure where to start, a sleep consultant can be a game-changer. Most parents don't have the time to sift through the internet's conflicting advice, read dozens of books, or piece together a plan. Natalie handles all of that research for you—while walking by your side every step of the way with expert guidance, genuine encouragement, and accountability. By the end of our time together, you'll feel completely confident and empowered to navigate your child's sleep.
Do you use a certain sleep training method?
Any approach that encourages independent sleep is considered "sleep training," and these methods range from gradual and hands-on to more accelerated and hands-off. We don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, we lay out all age-appropriate, evidence-based options so you can choose what feels right for your family (even if that means blending a few different strategies together—which happens all the time!). Our ultimate goal is for you to feel 100% confident and comfortable with your plan.
